Earlier Pagoda style
I keep my eye out for photos, postcards and information about the D.L.&W. stations/depots. I purchased another post card on EBAY this one is of the Apalachin Depot. This depot is said to be one of the earliest "pagoda" depots built along the line from Scranton to Buffalo and if you read other postings on other sites it is believed to be one of just three that used a circular adorned support bracket. The others being the Vestal Depot and Nichols NY. Check out a really great web site dedicated to these stations, it has not been updated recently so a bit of the information is dated but the owner has done a lot of work and research in a very professional manor. He has found numerous photos of many of the depots along the D.L.&W.Many of which no longer exist.
