The Other Atlanta Railroad Station

Update December 7, 2017

New Photo Fresh from Australia via EBAY, view looking south east, to the right you would find the D L&W depot,

This post card was for sale on Ebay, I missed the auction but after it had ended I contacted the Seller and asked if I could use his picture. He forwarded me an address to load an extremely high quality image, the detail is great. You can see the D,L&W Depot in the background on the left.

I do own this post card, Looks to be pre-automobile my post card is un-used so I have no postmark to go by. Due to the color, I had presumed the station was made of brick. But it was wood.

Another post card I have in my collection.Recently purchase from a fellow in Sodus Point from Ebay

Updated:7-17-17 I bought this on Ebay, for just a couple of $'s, after seeing the same one at a garage sale in Loon Lake, the one at the garage sale was in very poor condition and way over priced! The one shown above shows main st. looking west the D L&W depot would be just ahead on the left at the intersection of West Ave, Beecher st. and Main St. The D L&W Station was located at 36 West Ave. when I purchased it but the 911 folks changed it to reflect the current drive way at # 3 Beecher St.

PHOTO ADDED 11-25-2017

Another view of main street looking west, the tree on the right is obscuring "the Lander House" these days the Atlanta police and courthouse.

And a view looking east.
