THE AD THAT STARTED IT ALL

I was flipping throught the local penny saver one day and came upon this ad for an auction of the Atlanta NY depot.

As a young boy, traveling in the car with my father we would some times visit or take a small detour to out of the way hamlets and villages to see some of the old & unique structures. My dad was a model train hobbyist and long time railroad buff, as a teenager I began to have a greater appreciation for the historic architecture as well. This is just one of those old buildings I remember visiting with my dad as a boy.

It was time for me to take a short trip down to Atlanta and see what the depot was all about!
